It’s actually quite hard to pick a favorite character because they are so unique and lovable in their own way.
First of all, I’d have to say the Weasley’s. The fact that they aren’t rich or anything they still stick together, thats a true family. Molly is such an inspirational mother I wish I had, she had put her children before her. I sometimes wish for an over-protective mother, I mean, it sounds stupid but I want a mother to over-react once in a while.
Second of all, Narcissa Malfoy. Can we just give her an award for bravery and loyalty? I bet she would die for her own son without a doubt, she loved Draco more than anyone else because he was her top priority, she put him before anyone else, (even Lucius) She, is yet another mother I would love to have. She had outstanding courage to lie infront of Voldemort. She, is truly an admirable mother.
Third of all, Neville Longbottom. And no- not just because he’s good looking and saved the Wizarding World, but because when I first saw him in The Philosophers Stone, he reminded me of a bit. My insecurities and lack of courage always got the best of me and ate me alive, torturing me day and night because I wasn’t what people expected me to be and sometimes over-estimated my abilities. I nearly died when I found out his parents were in St. Mungo’s and couldn’t even remember their own son! He deserved better. People usually teased him, bullied him and mocked him. And he usually questioned why he was in Gryffindor. He was inspirational, how a shy, coward, quiet boy can turn into something much more if you believe in yourself.
Forth of all, Luna Lovegood. She taught me that its better to be different and to be yourself. Thats how you’re going to get friends and not by pretending to be someone you’re not. She told me to stick to what I think is real nevertheless what people think, she was different, unique and understanding. She didn’t change herself just because people thought differently or had a problem. She didn’t care at all. I loved her for that, I admired her for that. For extreme bravery- just to push out all the hate aside and to continue to have a smile on her face even in the darkest times, and even without a mother.
Fifth of all, Draco Malfoy. I probably only like him because Tom Felton portrays him but no, not anymore. Draco was a misunderstood boy who was brought up badly and made all the wrong choices in life. Yes, he made some mistakes that were so close to killing innocent people. But he did it to save his, he did it because he had no choice. If he didn’t kill Dumbledore then Voldemort would’ve killed him. And no offense, but lets be honest here. Dumbledore has been alive for more than 100 years. I think death shouldn’t be a problem.. Draco never knew the difference between right and wrong because he wasn’t shown how to and there was no one to guide him. And even if he thought differently or thought something his father or other deatheaters told him was wrong and if he said so- he would’ve surely been disowned. And he feared that. Some people hate the fact that he went to the “Dark” Side. But, he only did because of his mother. Nobody was there for him but his mother, he never had a true or honest friend. No one understood him and no one tried to.
Tbqh, I have too many favorite characters to name.
Of course, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter.
Sure, Ron made the wrong choice by leaving but in the end he put down his foolishness and immaturity aside and face up to be the better person. Jealously gets over everyone, sometimes its gets overboard to the point where the person is driven mad. I don’t think Ron was stupid for doing this, this happens to boys every time. I just feel he chose to act at the wrong time.
Hermione Granger, well, another brave girl who stood up for what she believed in. She got bullied alot by Draco because of her Blood status and sure, she cried the first time he called her a “Mudblood” This is a natural thing, she got upset but finally got over it. She grew stronger by the minute and really, she was the glue to the Trio. Without her, they’d be gone. Everyone surely knows that. And when she did “Oblivate” to her parents, I almost cried. She showed her true braveness there. I mean she’s always shown braveness but this- this for me is where she had outdone herself this time.
Harry Potter.. the boy who lived. For me, he risked his life for everyone. Not the other way around, not once did he complain (atleast not badly.) Even though the darkest Wizard wanted him dead, he still managed to laugh and find love. He had no family and the Dursley’s hated him. He knew there was a difference between the easy thing and the right thing and sometimes they are not the same. He was prepared to die for his friends and for freedom.
I have too much favorite characters I can’t name them all. I might just edit it tomorrow.
